College of Charleston
Letter from Our President
Welcome to the Zeta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi! My name is Emerson Tarbert and I have had the privilege of working on our Executive Board for three years but am honored to say that this year I am serving as our Chapter President.
The College of Charleston has a lot to offer. With being located in the heart of a city to there being numerous clubs and organizations to join throughout campus, I knew that Alpha Delta Pi was going to be my home away from home as I started college. I am a strong believer that Greek Life has the potential to influence all members in a way that makes them the best version of themselves. Here at Zeta Sigma, I have been surrounded with like minded individuals who strive daily to strengthen their sisterhood, scholarship, and self.
When initially deciding to go through recruitment, I was a cheesy freshman who wanted someone to call a “sister” as I grew up with only one older brother. Little did I know I would soon have 150 sisters. These girls have found the potential in me that I never saw and I am eternally grateful for them. Even after joining Alpha Delta Pi, this sisterhood still is able to surprise me daily. With sisters who are top scholars at The College, to sisters who volunteer at the local hospital daily, to the sisters who servently lead our chapter, I could not imagine surrounding myself with any other group of girls who constantly uplift each other to be the best women they can be. From the countless belly laughs on the porches of our homes to the occasional shoulder to cry on when your day has been a litttttttle bit too stressful, there is someone in Alpha Delta Pi that will always be there for you. Now serving as Chapter President, I am here to promise each and one of my current members and potential new members that I will do whatever it takes to make you feel the same as I did when I joined Alpha Delta Pi… loved.
