College of Charleston
At Alpha Delta Pi, we are a sisterhood of friends, a family of individuals, and a home away from home. We embrace every woman's uniqueness, we encourage and support each other's goals and dreams, and we value character above all else. Founded in 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia, Alpha Delta Pi was the first secret society for women.
Letter from Our President
Welcome to the Zeta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi at the College of Charleston. My name is Taylor Schullo, and I am blessed to be a part of this chapter and honored to be a part of its leadership. I have served as the Diversity and Inclusion Specialist and Vice President of Events Management and am currently proud to be the President for the 2024 term.
The College of Charleston is truly a magical place to go to school. With history, beauty, and countless opportunities, every student can find a niche to thrive and grow; I found mine within the walls of 36 Coming Street, our exquisite Chapter House. Greek life, especially with Zeta Sigma, has pushed me to be the best person I can be for myself and the entire chapter. I genuinely believe that sorority life can bring out strengths in everyone.
Being a midwestern girl, I felt out of place in this Southern City at the beginning of my first year. When I decided to go through recruitment, I wanted to find like-minded women who would be by my side for the rest of my life. I immediately knew that I would find that within Alpha Delta Pi. Not only did this Sisterhood make this prominent city feel a little less overwhelming, but it also introduced me to the most amazing women; little did I know there would be more than 150 of them from worldwide. I enjoy bonding with future doctors, artists, and businesswomen. These women emulate the principles of Sisterhood, self-service, and scholarship. Our sisters are top scholars on campus, volunteer daily with our philanthropy, and are leaders within this Sorority and our school. I could not imagine being surrounded by anyone else. These women are not just my best friends; they have become my sisters from many festive nights, filled with laughter and tears, and even show up for those stressful days.
College can be isolating if you let it, but Greek life has turned my College experience into the opposite; there is someone in Alpha Delta Pi who will always be there for you. As President, I promise to continue cultivating the environment I joined for every current and potential new member: a loving and uplifting environment.
